An unidentified man was shot and his body was found on Jacaraipe beach, in the metropolitan area of Vitória, Espírito Santo, on February 6, 2017. The metropolitan area of the city of Vitoria, in the state of Espirito Santo, reported assaults and violent deaths in a scenario of chaos since the Military Police went on strike demanding a salary readjustment. Violence rose more than 1,000 percent throughout January, with 51 deaths since the start of the week.
